NZ embroidery from Southern Monograms

Many different types of fabrics, corporate uniforms, garments and headwear can have logos embroidered as long as they are first able to be framed and then have a needle driven through. Different fabrics and apparel require different stitch techniques to achieve a good result. This requires that different embroidery programmes be used.

The price of embroidery is based on the number of stitches in each design and the number of units in each order. The number of colours in each design is largely irrelevant for up to nine colours.

• We continually keep up with changes in embroidery technology and have a wide range of different frames available so that our customers can have their design where they really want it, and at a suitable size.
• We have approximately 300 different coloured threads to choose from. There is not a thread colour for every Pantone or PMS colour reference, but if these reference numbers are supplied we can usually get a close match.
• We predominately uses polyester embroidery thread. This thread is kinder to the environment as it takes fewer chemicals to dye. Polyester thread also retains its colour better than other thread types at high wash temperatures. This is especially important for uniforms, sportswear, aprons, overalls and other garments that are commercially laundered.
