Accuracy is important, and taking proper measurements before ordering can save you time and money. Use the guide below to take measurements, and then compare then to the sizing guide for each garment. Always get someone else to make the measurements for you, measuring yourself will often produce inaccurate results. Measure with similar garments as you will wear with those you are ordering, and use a flexible tape to take measurements.
Bust
Keep the tape up under the arms and around the shoulder blades while measuring around the fullest part of the bust, with your arms relaxed at your sides. The tape should be flat and snug, but not tight. You should be able to put a finger between the tape and body. Measure while wearing a bra.
Waist
Measure around the smallest part of your waist, which is typically 2-3 cm above your belly button. Waist specifications are of the natural waist, which should be considered, even though garments may fit below the natural waist. Don't pull the tape too tightly - you should be able to put a finger between the tape and body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips (typically 20 - 24cm down from the natural waist). Do this while standing naturally.
Neck
Measure loosely around neck at collar level, allowing for a bit of extra space for comfort.
Chest
Keep the tape up under arms and around shoulder blades while measuring around the fullest part of the chest.
Arm
Lay a shirt out flat and measure from the centre back neck seam to the top of the shoulder seam, then to the end of cuff down the length of the sleeve.
Waist
Measure around the waist, over a shirt at the position pants would normally be worn. Don't pull the tape too tightly - you should be able to put a finger between the tape and body.
Inner Leg
Measure the inside of the leg, from the crotch to the hem on a well fitting pair of pants.
