Screen printing is a durable and cost-effective way to add your logo, artwork or promotional design to garments and branded merchandise. At Southern Monograms, we help businesses, schools, clubs, teams and organisations create professional branded apparel that is made to be seen and worn with confidence.
This decoration method is especially well suited to larger quantities, bold designs and artwork with fewer colours. It works particularly well on cotton garments such as t-shirts, hoodies, singlets and casual uniforms, making it a popular choice for promotional clothing, staff apparel, event merchandise and teamwear.
With decades of experience in branded uniforms and promotional products, our team can help you choose the right garment, prepare your artwork correctly and recommend the best branding method for your project. Whether you already know screen printing is the right option or you need advice on the best way to reproduce your logo, Southern Monograms can guide you through the process from start to finish.
Our Screen Printing Process
Our printers use a variety of manual and automated carousels. Artwork specialists separate each layer of colour. This is why it is vital to provide vector artwork. For each colour in a design a separate screen is made by burning the image onto emulsion covered silk screens using UV light.

When is screen printing the best choice?
Screen printing is a great option when you need a consistent, professional finish across a larger quantity of garments. Because each colour in your design requires its own screen, it is best suited to simple, bold artwork rather than highly detailed full-colour images.
It is commonly used for:
- Branded t-shirts and hoodies
- Staff uniforms and workwear
- Sports team and club apparel
- Event and promotional clothing
- School leavers’ clothing
- Merchandise and giveaway apparel
For designs with multiple colours, fine detail or smaller quantities, our team may recommend another branding option such as embroidery or Supacolour.
