Client Focus:

With ANZAC day rapidly approaching, we thought this recent piece of work relevant and interesting;

United Forces 245 United Forces Lodge Banner

We were approached by an existing client to make a facsimile of a 1922 armed forces standard. The original was deteriorating badly and will now be preserved under glass. This splendid copy will be carried for the first time on 12th April 2006 at the annual ANZAC meeting of the United Forces Lodge, which will be held at the Royal New Zealand Air Force Museum, Wigram, Christchurch. For the first time this Lodge will receive as guests 2nd WW veterans, members of the general public and The Grand Lodge of New Zealand in full Masonic military regalia. We have been told that our work was received with applause by the committee involved in the project.

The finished piece measured 75cm long by 40cm wide and had to be framed three separate times for embroidery. As you can see from the close-up, applique work was used in the central piece on satin fabric, most of the embroidery thread used was from our metallic range. This was a time consuming piece but attention to detail during the digitising phase has ensured a flawless result.
