The cold weather and snow were a bit of a surprise to everyone last month. If you aren't warm enough now is the time to look at our
polarfleece and
beanie options.
We recently completed an order for the "P.G.H. Fender" cricket team based in Chicago, Illinois, USA. This is a group of predominantly ex-pat Kiwis and Aussies. As cricket is such a tiny sport in the US there are very few suppliers.
"L
ast year our playing uniform was not necessarily in keeping with Fender standards. Indeed the hats were generally too small, as were the playing shirts to the point where the sleeves cut off so much blood to Chris' biceps that he was not able to affect several run outs. There was also one Fender (to remain forever anonymous) that reported that his shirt caused (chaffing)." - R. Tattershaw
Southern Monograms sourced a wide range of products from various suppliers to outfit the team. Johnny Bobbin short and long sleeved cricket shirts were used as well as our popular
4210 sandwich peaked cap and traditional white cricket floppy hats. A special blazer was manufactured by a Christchurch firm for the player of the year (see picture below).
The uniforms were delivered via airfreight and arrived safe and sound within four days. The team is thrilled with the new gear. Hopefully this along with a bell inserted inside the ball will improve the amount of runs scored this season.
